Principal

Dear Lindop Parents, Guardians, Students, and Community Members,

Welcome back to Lindop School for the 2022-2023 School Year. My 23rd academic year at Lindop has just begun. Prior to becoming the principal here, I taught students in grades two through five. I am honored and excited to lead such intelligent students, dedicated staff, and a highly supportive community.

You are well aware of the high caliber of Lindop School. In the current political climate, it is challenging to locate a school district with a positive reputation, but Lindop has managed to accomplish this by having a compassionate yet demanding system. For that, I want to thank you all. Your exceptional work with your children and the members of our community has helped us earn this well-deserved reputation. Such a reputation is not accidental. It is the outcome of dedicated parents, teachers, and staff, in addition to involved students. I will utilize my skills as a leader in education at Lindop School and invest a considerable amount of time in partnering with parents to ensure that every child succeeds.

We work hard to uphold our mission statement, "Committed to Academic Excellence and Achievement," each and every day. This commitment raises the bar for all parties, ensuring that everyone is held accountable for raising student achievement. It is imperative that our children succeed. Failure is not an option or a possibility!

Our commitment to pursuing National Blue Ribbon School status displays our faith in the potential of our children to succeed at the highest levels. This desired accreditation will validate the commitment of our students, teachers, parents, and community members to creating safe, welcoming environments where children may learn challenging and fascinating content. I think children should be at the core of education since it is a lifelong endeavor. Every child's success depends on the relationship between the student, parent, and teacher. I urge all parents to participate all year long, and I am looking forward to getting to know every one of you.

Sincerely,

Shelly-Ann Opare-Saforo

Principal
