Free Community Chromebooks Giveaway

The Lindop District 92 Board of Education purchased new Chromebooks for our students this school year.

The District has a limited number of obsolete Chromebooks that have limited functionality but still turn on and work with some applications. These Chromebooks will require that you use a 45w charger to charge these Chormebooks which will not be provided. The following Chromebook Models will be available:

• Lenovo 500e
• Samsung XE521QAB

A link will be provided here on December 19, 2025 at 9 A.M. to allow you to obtain a FREE Chromebook.

Terms:

• These Chromebooks are FREE but are only available to Lindop District 92 residents with a Illinois Drivers License or Illinois State ID.
• You will be called and emailed to pick up your device after December 19, 2025. 
• Limited supply of devices.
• These devices come with no software other than the Google Operating System.
