Goal 1: Student Achievement & Curriculum

Vision:
Increase student performance to achieve higher scores on state-mandated assessments.

Goals:

  • Provide ongoing professional development to support staff in improving student achievement.
  • Provide resources that promote academic growth, mastery, and student engagement.

Goal 2: Facilities

Vision:
Provide facilities that are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Goals:

  • Maintain facilities in accordance with standards established by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Green Ribbon Program.
  • Continue implementing Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and COVID-19 safety standards and practices.

GOAL 3: Programs & Services

Vision:
Provide inclusive programs and services driven by students, staff, and community members to support student development.

Goals:

  • Meet the diverse needs of students to improve achievement.
  • Ensure all students and staff have access to appropriate tools and technology that foster student success.

GOAL 4: District Finances

Vision:
Maintain a balanced budget and healthy fund balance.

Goals:

  • Monitor budgets, expenditures, and revenues.
  • Develop five-year budget projections.
  • Prepare annual audits through continuous assessment and monitoring of financial systems and internal controls.

GOAL 5: Community–District Relations

Vision:
Foster strong community-district relationships through collaboration, transparency, and mutual trust.

Goals:

  • Maintain frequent community outreach to keep stakeholders informed about district events, student achievements, honors, and awards.
  • Engage community stakeholders in developing a strategic plan aligned with all Board goals.
  • Provide ongoing communication regarding district operations and progress.

GOAL 6: Recruitment & Retention

Vision:
Recruit and retain a diverse, highly qualified workforce with a retention rate of 90% or higher that reflects the demographics of the community.

Goals:

  • Partner with higher education institutions to establish a direct teacher recruitment pipeline.
  • Hire a Human Resources professional to research and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies.
