Dr. Jackson's Welcome Back Letter 2020-2021

August 10, 2020

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  I pray that this letter of welcome finds you and your families safe and healthy.  I am grateful that even though we are operating in a time that has not been experienced in our lifetime, we are still standing, TOGETHER.  To quote Dwayne Dyer, “Everything that has happened had to happen.  Everything that must happen cannot be stopped.”  I would further echo the sentiments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “If not us, then who?  If not now, then when?”  This is such an opportunity to create a legacy for future generations.  WE are the change that we wish to see.

We are aware that during this time, some families may have experienced emotional, physical, and/or financial hardships.  The team is working tirelessly to deliver instruction that is engaging, intentional, and personalized for our students based upon your feedback during the family coffees.

The Board of Education is also acutely aware of the impact that COVID-19 has wreaked across the nation but more specifically, Lindop families.  On Wednesday, August 5th, the Board voted unanimously to provide supplies (remote and in person) for the 2020-2021 school year at NO COST to familiesPlease take a moment to thank our Board of Education for their continued and unwavering support.

The school year officially begins on Friday, August 14, 2020.  However, the first day of remote instruction will be Tuesday, August 18th.

Grab and Go Breakfast and Lunch will be distributed Monday through Friday beginning Friday, August 14th from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and will continue through the end of the school year.

Thank you again for entrusting us with your most valuable asset.  Let’s make this a year that will become legacy.  We need each other.

 Yes We Can…Yes We Will…TOGETHER!

 In Service,

 Dr. Janiece Jackson
