August 2, 2022
Dear Lindop Family,
I can hardly believe that summer will end as quickly as it arrived. I would like to formally welcome you back to the 2022-2023 school year. Last year we were faced with the challenges of staying abreast of “dares” taken from instructions provided on Tiktok, SnapChat, Instagram, and Facebook. It was also a year filled with tough decisions and growing pains. In spite of any challenge that we faced, we could not have overcome any obstacle without your partnership, and standing beside us when it was not easy. These traits of partnership evidence that collectively, we can and we will not give up no matter how uncomfortable we become. We are the team that all of our children need and deserve to see. We will continue to fiercely advocate for all of our children, together.
The unwavering support from the Board of Education has been priceless. They have stood on the sidelines as cheerleaders, while encouraging us to remain bold, brave, courageous, and laser focused while on this mission toward Blue Ribbon status. The Lindop School District 92 Board of Education believes that our children can and will rise to the occasion. I urge our new families to commit to join us on our mission to set the bar high and continue to provide rigorous engaging instruction.
We will continue to monitor the percentages of newly reported COVID cases to keep our entire LIndop family safe and healthy. We will abide by the Center for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health recommendations as it relates to school as follows:
All sectors of the economy reopen with new health and hygiene practices permanently in place. Large gatherings of all sizes can resume. Public health experts focus on lessons learned and building out the public health infrastructure needed to meet and overcome future challenges.
-
As of this email, we will offer optional masking for all employees and students
- Children will still be required to distance 3ft apart, which will be monitored and enforced.
- We will also continue to sanitize regularly and monitor high-touch surfaces on a daily basis.
If you would like your child to remain masked, please have a conversation with your child,
and send them with a mask to school daily
