Vilicia Cade-Horton - Principal

Mrs. Vilicia Cade-Horton is a transplant from the largest school
system in the nation, the New York City (NYC) Public Schools. During
her tenure with the NYC Public Schools, she served as a District-
level Administrator, school level- Administrator, curriculum writer,
teacher recruiter, parent involvement specialist, and classroom
teacher. Prior to accepting the Principal’s position at the
Lindop School, the most recent position she held was Director of
High School Curriculum and Instruction with the Chicago Public Schools.
Mrs. Cade-Horton has completed three masters’ degrees in
the following subjects: African-American Studies, Reading, and Supervision
and Leadership. Currently, she is completing her doctoral studies
on restructuring schools for urban youth at New York University.
A former resident of the Broadview community, she was actively
involved as a parent at the Lindop School. Mrs. Cade-Horton has
a zeal and commitment to ensuring that every child, parent, teacher
and administrator in the Lindop School Community upholds a standard
of excellence. Her philosophy is that- “Leadership
is the key to excellence.”
Darlynn L. Terry - Assistant Principal

Darlynn Terry grew up in Broadview and is proud to say Lindop is
her alma mater. Darlynn is a life-long learner. She received her
Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Illinois University. Ms.
Terry taught third grade at Lindop School for ten years and served
as an administrative intern for a year.
Darlynn’s love for children is genuine. She enjoys an excellent
rapport with them, always reminding them that “Knowledge is
Power”, and encouraging children to strive to make their “Dream”
a reality.
Ms. Terry received her Master of Science Degree from the University
of Illinois-Chicago and is completing her Certificate of Advanced
Studies at Lewis University. After receiving experience and essential
skills as an Assistant Principal for four years in another district,
she is delighted to return to her first love, Lindop School, as
Assistant Principal.
